The Buyu Kai training will be Friday evening, January 6th and Saturday, January 7th, 2023. The Banquet dinner is planned for Saturday evening. The training will be outside at Kapi’olani Park, east of Waikiki beach towards the Diamond Head side of Oahu. (It may rain or be sunny and warm, so be prepared for changing weather.)

About the Instructor

Jack Hoban served as a US Marine Captain and is a long time practitioner of martial arts. He assisted in the creation of the US Marine Corps Martial Arts Program (MCMAP) and remains subject matter expert (SME) for the program. He is a master instructor in Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu under Grand Master Masaaki Hatsumi in Japan. He is also a student of the late Robert Humphrey, a noted conflict resolution specialist. Jack’s approach to teaching martial arts in context of the Ethical Warrior is known world-wide. He has three published books and four videos on martial arts and has written numerous articles for international magazines and military journals on combatives and warrior ethics. Mr. Hoban also holds an MBA and is an executive in the healthcare industry Jack's latest book, "The Ethical Warrior," is available HERE.
